Lynn Corlew is a nurse practitioner at Mt. Juliet Family Care and the practice's only Nashville native.

Medicine runs in Lynn's blood. She grew up listening to the stories of her grandmother, who became a nurse to support her three children during the Great Depression. Lynn was taught that despite the popular phrase of the time - "There's a pill for every ill" - that there was more to treating people then just giving them a pill. Her desire to help people through comprehensive and compassionate methods beyond only prescription medicine motivated her to enter the nursing field.

Lynn honed her skills as a nurse at top Nashville hospitals. In 1998, she earned her nurse practitioners degree and began working at Summit Medical Center. Lynn also became a diabetic specialist and is a certified Diabetic Educator. She joined Mt. Juliet Family Care as the third primary care provider in 2007. Lynn is very interested in preventative and holistic medicine. She spends a great deal of time teaching her patients how to live healthy and avoid sickness with the goal to help them prevent illness rather than having to treat an illness. Lynn practices both in Mt. Juliet and at our Watertown location called Cherry Valley Family Care.

A natural artist, Lynn loves to paint portraits. She's filled nearly all the walls of her house with her countless paintings and if you look around her office, you'll see many more.

Lynn is most proud of her three children and five grandchildren.
